The Brummies went in to the meeting knowing they had to claim at least a draw to win the title for their first year back in the sport and at NL level.
Youngster Zach Wajtknecht was again the star of the show winning races for fun all afternoon and it was his fourth win of the meeting in heat 14 to secure the leafy title.
Afterwards Wajtknecht was thrilled to have achieved so much in his first season on the shale. He added: "I can't really describe what it felt like if I'm honest. I just went out and enjoyed myself all afternoon and knew a win in heat 14 would be enough. It was great seeing so many Brummies fans make the trip across as well and to win it for them will live long in the memory."
Wajtknecht has decided to pull out of this weekend's British Under Under-19 Championships at Berwick after aggravating an ankle injury last Sunday.
