Zach Wants A Big Year

13 January 2016

The youngster who also returns to lead Birmingham Brummies in the National League for a second season admits a lot will be expected of him this season but he's ready for the challenge.
He explained: "Last season was really a breakthrough year for me and it went really well.
"I established myself in the National League and enjoyed riding at Perry Barr and winning the league was a massive shot in the arm for everyone at the club.
"2016 will see me back again but having the added pressure to score points in every meeting as my average puts me at the top of the side's averages but it's a responsibility I know I can handle.
"The aim is to carry on improving as a rider and hopefully with the team we have again we can retain the league but we know it will be a tough job."
Zach is also realising the chance to prove himself with Somerset Rebels in the Premier League but knows there will be less pressure on him to perform in the Premier League.
He added: "It's a tough league for sure and I will take each meeting at a time and have a lot to learn in terms of set-ups and getting to know the new tracks I will be facing.
"Starting is all important in speedway and at Premier League level the first corners will be tough but I have to learn quickly and can't wait to get started now."
